Bie’s interview with Postcard (part 3)

(page 41):  Who are your acting instructor(s)?

I have lot of instructors. Teach.   Teach. Toey was our acting instructor while I was living at the Star House. We were in a rush after I completed the Star contest, ; so I got my acting lesson right at the set of Roy Adeed Heng Ruk…  Teach. Aew was my acting instructor at that time.  After 2-3 hours of acting lessons, I went into a real acting job.  Later on, I had opportunities to take lessons from Maom Noy.

I actually like acting lessons giving at the set of lakorn.. because I could use what I learned right away. P’Boy likes to give lesson at the set. A sitcom director also gives lessons right on the set. Exact now has a new acting instructor, Teach Ae… who comes and advises us on acting.

Your personal preference, which part or character do you prefer?

Personally, I like comedy. I liked to watch (comedy shows) since I was young. I also liked to act it out with my friends. I like everything about comedy. I have so many joke books at my house. I don’t have that many scholastic books, a few books on Buddhist teaching, a few copies of Encyclopedia… when I came across something funny, I would write it down right away… I even dreamed about jokes… in my dream, I planned to write down the joke… but when I woke up, I forgot the joke.

Now a day, I would have a piece of paper and a pen next to me by my bed.  While I was sleeping if I thought about a joke, I would get up… sometimes at 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning writing down the joke on a piece paper, then went back to sleep. Funny jokes are under my skin now. Since I like them so much, I dream about them. Sometimes, I would say to myself “hey, how come the dream was so confusing and complicated”… Now a day, I don’t just have funny joke notebook, I also have drama notebook… I think playing dramatic role is hard. It takes a lot of time. Deep down inside, I don’t really like drama that much but I have to do my best with it.

Is there a role that is considered to be a difficult that you want to play but you haven’t play, yet?

I played quite a few roles. With my age, I should be playing a young adult role in a love relationship. I am too old to be a son… too young to be a father. Characters that I have been playing so far should be ok… since my age fits those roles. Other than that, there is a role of a lunatic which is not quite in the trend. I think playing a role of a lunatic is hard. It should be considered the hardest one in acting. It’s something that needs to be studied. I think it’s very difficult role to play.

Let me ask you about your life style… what do you like to do when you have free time?

I actually like to go out and look for something to eat. When I was young, my family didn’t have a lot of money … we didn’t eat out that often. As I grow older… I said to myself …” eating is fun” … it must have come from there. Or, my personality changes as I grow older. Once I have a job, I want to treat myself. I don’t like to go shopping… but I like to go and eat 🙂 … for that reasons, I would search for a good place to eat. I would look it up from magazines, go online, get a picture of the place, go out and look for that place. I like to take my mom with me. She is retired. She stays 2-3 days in Chiangmai… then, she would come and stay with me in BKK.   I would say she is the happiest old lady in the world . Other than my mom, I would go out with my friends… sometimes, my team member(s)…

Shopping place that impresses you…

there are so many… I prefer the shops around Ekamai by the express way. Ram Intra is not too bad, either. It’s a very long street and there are shops on both side of the street. There is also CDC that was just opened. Every time, we couldn’t think of a place to meet, we would say… let’s meet by the express way. We don’t eat at the same place often… that’s why we don’t have a “favorite place”.   We like to go to different places.

Let’s do this, give me a recommendation on one of the best shopping places

Bie took a long time to think…
Bie “oh… actually, a place near Grammy building is pretty good. I eat there often. The name of the place is “Ta Som”. It’s a small place… easy going and simple style… with small tables. They sell deep fried fish… and some simple stir fried items …

is there a certain or a special kind of food that you prefer?

No… I don’t have one. I can eat anything. Fusion, originality or odd food… even though I can’t eat them but I will try it at least once…
