Update on WATERFALL:
Bie…”WATERFALL will premier in LA in May. I will be flying to LA the beginning of April to prepare for the musical. After that, we will be in Seattle. If everything goes well in both LA and Seattle, our next trip would be Broadway.”
Are you excited?
“It’s exciting. By all means, this is not an easy project. I have to say that this is the hardest project I have ever worked on in my life. Whatever skill or ability I have, I pull all of them out and use on this project.”
How do you split your time?
“to put it simply, if I can split myself up into many Bie, I would. One goes here and one goes there, etc… I am doing my best to manage my time.”
How ready are you?
“At the moment, I am trying to get ahead start and prepare whatever can be prepared in Thailand. For example: when we have the script, I have to read and memorize each line. When we have music sheets, I have to be able to sing each note and key. I have to overcome my language barrier. In terms of performance, I have been practicing my performance with p’Boy here in Thailand. When we get there, we will make all the necessary adjustment.”
“Yes, language barrier makes quite a major impact on my performance. I should have studied English harder when I was young. Now, I have to learn the language quickly. I started to learn English 2 years ago. It is an intensive course. I am doing my best.”
lots of problems?
“I would say major-major problem. In Thailand, all I have to do is to follow what the director said. We understand each other. But over there, I have no idea what they said. I have to translate word by word/ look up each word from a dictionary. I have to read slowly. Yes, it takes a lot longer time to learn.”
where are you in terms of your preparation?
“Here in Thailand, I would say about 80%. I don’t know what I am going to see over there since this my first time doing this kind of work abroad.”
What about your lead lady?
“Over there, they work on contractual basis, or job by job. I don’t know whom I will be working with.”
Singing, dancing, language… which is the hardest for you?
“I would say everything is hard. Language barrier is the toughest. A few Broadway shows came to Thailand. If you saw the show(s), whatever performance you saw on stage, that’s what I would be doing. However they sing, however they dance… I have to be able to do the same. It’s not easy. “
Your new single…
“Feedback is quite good. The song is climbing music charts. On some music charts, the song reached # 1 already. It was also #1 download on iTune”.
Will you have a new signature dance step?
“We are thinking about it. It will be something that fit with my age, nothing out of the world.”
People are saying that your new MV doesn’t get a lot of hit?
“Number of viewers too low? please go and click on the MV to increase numbers of viewers. If viewers on youtube is not high, it’s fine as long as digital download is high . That’s how I get pay. Let me go and check. If the number is low, I will click on the MV myself to increase the number.” 🙂
What kind of expectation do you have with # of viewers and/ or # of downloads?
“Some expectation. If the numbers are good, it’s encouraging, also inspiring all of us to continue to do good work.”
“You will get to see it around July 2015.”
When will you get to work with Mo?
“No, not any time soon. I would say let’s not work together anytime soon… I don’t want to be on the news ” 😀
Did you buy Mo anything for Valentine’s Day?
“No time… I don’t even have time to buy anything for myself.”
Will she go and see Waterfall?
“If she is free… but it’s so far away… so, I don’t know if she can go.”
don’t you want her to be there to provide support and encouragement?
“I need support and encouragement from everybody” 😀
